Meals That Matter is an official selection to the 2026 Global Peace Film Festival

A good story doesn't stay where it was filmed.

We're excited to share that Meals That Matter, our documentary about The Joy Bus, has been selected for the 2026 Global Peace Film Festival's Free For All Shorts online program.

The Global Peace Film Festival, produced by Global Peace 360°, brings together filmmakers, changemakers, and audiences around stories of humanity, resilience, justice, culture, and hope. Its online program extends that conversation beyond Central Florida, allowing selected films to reach audiences worldwide.

Meals That Matter will screen on the festival website from September 20 to September 27, 2026.

For The Joy Bus, that's especially meaningful. The organization has spent more than a decade serving people in Arizona navigating cancer through medically tailored meals and human connection. Meals That Matter was created to help more people understand that mission and, hopefully, bring new people into it.

This selection is another example of something we've written about in our Turning a Film Into a Funding Tool guide: the premiere isn't the finish line.

A strategic nonprofit film should continue working long after production wraps. Festivals, community screenings, media coverage, donor events, and online distribution can each introduce the story to a new audience and create new opportunities for connection.

The Global Peace Film Festival gives Meals That Matter another opportunity to do exactly that. The camera may have stopped rolling, but the story keeps traveling.
